Principal's Message

Dear Fallsvale Families,

My name is Shannon Burch, and it is with immense pride and continued honor that I begin my second year as your Principal here at Fallsvale School. With 12 years of experience in education, I remain as dedicated and passionate as ever to serving this wonderful community. I am truly humbled to continue in this role and look forward to building upon the successes of last year as we continue to support student learning and growth.

This school year, we are thrilled to continue offering grades TK-8. Our school day will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. Student drop-off begins at 7:45 a.m., and students are considered tardy after 8:10 a.m. As before, minimum days will occur most Thursdays. These will be marked on the calendar as “PD” (Professional Development) days. We will continue to do our best to keep you informed of any changes. I highly value input from our community to help our school run smoothly, and I encourage you to share any concerns or suggestions you may have. I look forward to another year of strong collaboration for the benefit of our students.

Parent involvement and support are incredibly crucial in fostering a positive school culture and enriching experiences for our school community. We were so grateful for your engagement last year and are always eager to have you get involved again, whether by volunteering in the classroom or at school events, joining the Fallsvale Boosters or School Site Council, or sharing your talents and hobbies with the school community. Research consistently shows that parent involvement significantly enhances student academic success, and we experienced that firsthand last year. We are excited to have you on campus, and you are always welcome at our school.

At Fallsvale School, we continue to pride ourselves on our unique size and thriving culture. We firmly believe that greatness often comes in small packages. The unique size of our school allows us to cultivate a close-knit community where everyone is appreciated for their individual gifts, talents, and abilities. Our dedicated staff views our school as one cohesive learning community where every child is valued by every staff member. We are committed to continuing to create a positive environment where all students and their families feel appreciated and welcomed.

The school staff and I will continue to do everything in our power to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful communication. Please be sure to check our Facebook page, Parent Square posts and school website for up-to-the-minute information. We will also continue to contact you through Parent Square, send home flyers, and emails, and occasionally leave phone messages. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the school at (909) 794-8630 if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

I am always eager to discuss ways we can positively impact the learning environment and student experience. Please feel free to contact me at Shannon_Burch@bearvalleyusd.org or Parent Square to discuss ways in which we can work together to best support the students of Fallsvale School.

Sincerely,

Shannon Burch
